Lougè Delcy is a Haitian American artist, photographer, and director whose work explores identity, memory, culture, and human connection through image making. Rooted in his Haitian heritage and shaped by his upbringing in Brooklyn, his practice blends documentary storytelling with a painterly and cinematic approach to portraiture.

Working across photography, film, and installation, Lougè documents communities throughout the African diaspora and beyond, often focusing on people whose stories, traditions, and ways of life exist outside of mainstream representation. His work is driven by immersion, creating space for intimacy, dignity, and emotional depth within each image.

As a self taught artist, travel became both process and philosophy. Through years of moving between countries, landscapes, and cultures, Lougè developed a visual language centered around presence, texture, color, and atmosphere. His images aim to preserve not only people, but feeling, spirit, and memory.

In 2016, he founded Dapper Studios, a creative collective bringing together longtime collaborators across photography, styling, filmmaking, design, and poetry. Through both independent and commissioned work, the studio has partnered with brands and institutions including Apple, Instagram, Condé Nast Traveler, and Giants of Africa, while continuing to focus on authentic cultural storytelling.

At the core of Lougè’s practice is a desire to create work that feels timeless, human, and deeply connected to the people and places it comes from.
